also the 195 from Hayes Station or Southall Station.
The main line station Hayes and Harlington, direct link to Paddington, is about
20 minutes walk away or via the E6 or 195 buses
History of the Crane Centre
Prior to 1998 the centre was previously a Scout Hut and then the residents took it over to stop it being closed. The centre is gradually building up itْs programme but has room for lots more activities and would welcome volunteers to run a section. The new Internet Cafe is proving popular for all ages and hopes to expand when more computers can be afforded. The centre holds:
- several computer classes each week for adults,
- 2 line dancing sessions each week,
- residents open evenings,
- a junior youth club,
- and a children's playscheme in the summer holidays.
It also is available for private lets for family parties and holds various fund raising events throughout the year. |
